Bart has been involved in the retail development industry for nearly two decades, concentrating his early career on project design and management, and most recently, the overall development process. A graduate of the Architectural program at Kansas State University and a licensed Architect, he has had the distinction of managing the design of many well-known shopping centers throughout the Midwest. Prior to co-founding ONE80 Development, Bart was a Managing Partner at RED Legacy where he led all facets of development, including municipality entitlements, project revenue and expense proformas, public and private financing, vendor and consultant relationships, joint venture partner negotiations, and related aspects necessary to develop and stabilize the asset. He brings to the industry an exceptional understanding of the development process through his experience and relationships built over his tenure and involvement in more than 10 million square feet of retail development.
“Development, whether it is ground up or redevelopment, has become incredibly complicated and oftentimes controversial. On a recent project that will be transformative for a community, Bart was instrumental in navigating and resolving issues with the private and public sectors that otherwise would have killed the project. Bart’s detailed knowledge of all aspects of the development process and his ability to clearly communicate with different stakeholders were indispensable to the success of the project.”
